Eurovision Song Contest 2013 Final

Hello queens and trucker-dykes!

This past weekend was the Eurovision Song Contest Final in Malmö and over 200 billion people around the globe watched it live on TV. Talk about pressure to do well!

The winner was the beautiful elf from Denmark - Emmelie the Forest. She sang about teardrops and Hooters which proved to be really popular amongst the gayers. We however don't really see why she calls herself a forest because she is merely just a grove. But we guess it's a PR-trick.

Our personal favorite was the son of Dracula from Romania - Cezar - who tried to hypnotize the audience with his extremely high pitched voice and glittery gown. Though he failed, we still love him and would very much appreciate if his designer contacted us immediately. And if Cezar himself has some time off, we'd love to do a photo-shoot with him, á la True Blood.

Emmelie the Forrest, Cezar, Alcohol is free

The Swedish people really liked the song from Greece because they sang about free alcohol. (Swedes love alcohol). We suspect it was a tribute song to our country, since the competition was held in Sweden (almost).

The greatest thing about Denmark winning the competition is that they can leave all the lights, props and staff in the arena till next year and therefor save a lot of time and effort. Malmö is namely considered more Danish than Swedish.

Who was your favorite?

Fika & Dalahäst,
